Nooga Sue Clements

2016 - 2026

A thank you to my Nooga Sue.
“Thank you for loving me and letting me love you.
For letting me be your mommy for 10 amazing years.
For being my rock when I felt like my whole world was falling apart.
For being so strong and putting up one heck of a fight against cancer.
For being my easy peasy mac n cheesy.
For thumping your tail on the floor any time you heard me sing any of your many theme songs so I knew you heard it.
For Saturdays with Sue.
For mommy and me date nights.
For sunset watching.
For being my adventure buddy.
For busting in the front door just so you could leave it wide open and stare at me.
For your side eyes that you mastered.
For being able to tell me things like “mom make brother move so I can lay by you” without saying a word.
For being the sweetest girl in the whole wide world.
For always smiling at me when you saw me looking at you in my rear view mirror.
For not telling bro and sis on me when I Iet you cheat when we played games.
For keeping our secrets like when I’d get you your own order of bacon at Dunkie.
For being understanding when your brother was the neediest dog ever.
For never having met a stranger.
For being the master of the puppy dog eyes so you could get anything you wanted.
For being the best big sister.
For giving the go ahead when I wanted to adopt your sis.
For comforting Nook when we took him as a foster because you could tell he was scared to death.
For teaching kids that big dogs aren’t scary.
For forcing mommy to slow down so you could take time to smell the flowers.
For being sassy just like your mommy.
For being such a good babysitter when I’d leave and tell you that you were in charge.
For our night time hugs where you’d lean on me and let me hug you for however long I needed.
Lastly, thank you soooo much for being YOU, my Sue.

I know you’re up in heaven now but I want you to know we miss you sooooo much already. Things just aren’t the same without you here. I’ll watch over brother and sister and they’ll watch over me. We love you Nooga Sue and we will see you on the other side someday.”
